Al parecer el mes de Abril es el mes en que menos actividad habrá en la blogósfera: el señor Amaya se retiró de vacaciones a Europa, m@f3r promete volver pronto, por su lado Jess igual abandonará los post por un rato, en lo que se refiere a este blog, dejará un rato el ciberespacio pues mi computadora paso a mejor vida el pasado domingo 16 de Abril, por lo que me encuentro escribiendo este post de despedida en un ciber cafe(el post redactado más rápidamente en la historia de este blog) Hasta pronto! y nos estamos leyendo. Staring at the Sun

April 25th, it was the date in which the Pop Mart Tour started in Las Vegas, 10 years ago (I’ll tell more details about it on the next post), meanwhile it is time for the song of the month.This song is pretty special as well as the others of the POP album, but this one made me feel lots of things, it took me to another world (seriously), the way Edge plays guitar in this song is amazing, so emotional, some of the lyrics talk about love, and it matched perfectly with the psychodelic video directed by Jake Scott, who created and strange but quite artistic atmosphere.

U23D ya es oficial!

El pasado 15 de Marzo la productora Real D realizó en el ShoWwest de las Vegas, un adelanto de la película de U2 que llevará por nombre U2 3D, Sunday Bloody Sunday fue la canción elegida para mostrar un poco de lo que sería esta película.Hace un par de días en U2.com se anuncio el lanzamiento de U23D a fin de este 2007, pero ¿Qué es U23D? ya se había mencionado mucho acerca de esto, pero no había nada oficial; pues bien U2 grabó los conciertos del Vertigo Tour que ofreció el año 2006 en Mexico, Brasil, Argentina y Chile en formato 3D, una de las características según los productores, es que se trata del primer filme grabado y exhibido en su totalidad en formato 3D.

Producido por 3ality con tecnología Real D, y dirigido por Catherine Owens (productora de efectos visuales del Vertigo Tour) y Mark Pellington (director del video One en la versión de los bufálos) el concierto está formado por una combinación de todos los conciertos ofrecidos en México y Sudámerica, así como parte de Melbourne, Australia.

U2 3D solo podrá exhibirse en cines con capacidad 3D, los más cercanos son los cines IMAX, sin embargo dadas las características de este concierto, no se podrá disfrutar en su totalidad la calidad de sonido e imagen requeridos, ya que en palabras de Michael Leader (productor de Real D)esta película representará un nuevo reto para las cadenas de cines, pues “los sistemas de sonido de las salas de cine no reproducen toda la gama de sonidos que se ha alcanzado con esta película….especialmente en el bajo, y tampoco se cuenta con algo cercano que reproduzca el rango de sonido necesario para exhibir un concierto de rock”

De acuerdo a información del sitio U2 spain, habrá un pre-estreno en el festival de Cannes el 16 de Mayo del 2007.

¿Se imaginan lo que será revivir la experiencia en la pantalla grande? Ya espero con ansiedad el estreno de esta película que seguramente pasará a la historia como el primer concierto de rock en formato 3D exhibido en el mundo.
